Mosaic’s Passion For Colour

Earlier this week we spoke to some of the Mosaic team about their passion for colour. First of all we talked to Annette who has worked at the Studio for over 20 years. This is what she told us about her choice of colour.

“I have fun trying out different semi-permanent tones from the cooler side of the colour spectrum as they match my skin tone. I have recently used the Wella Koleston Perfect Blue shade which was applied freehand with a comb. I have an urchin cut with lots of texture so using a comb means the colour can be applied to specific pieces of hair which gives a really individual look. As this product gradually fades over time, I have plenty of opportunity to try out another shade!

My top tip for looking after my hair is to use the Wella System Professional Silver Shampoo which enhances my natural grey and reduces yellow tones. The texture of grey hair is coarse so I use a SP Leave In Conditioner to give shine.”

We then spoke to Louise who has mid-length, layered hair.

“I like warm tones which are close to my natural colour and the ombre look is in fashion this year. The best product for this look is a semi-permanent Color Touch product which lasts about 24 washes – or sometimes even longer. We use a combination of two colours – medium brunette ash blond and red brunette (over pre-lightened hair) to give the ombre effect on the ends.

To take care of my hair I use the SP Color Save Shampoo and conditioner and then Luxe Oil for styling which gives protection against heat, leaving my hair smooth and shiny.”

Finally, Lucy talked about her blond hair colour choice.

“I like to have a colour which enhances my naturally blond hair, so we use a permanent bright ash blonde. The colour is applied using a half head of foils and sometimes I use a toner to correct any unwanted gold. I wash and blow dry my hair every day, so high quality hair products are essential. You really notice the difference. I really do recommend that clients who invest in colouring their hair spend a little extra on Colorsave shampoo and conditioner as keeps the colour looking at its best for longer.”
