About the Role
As a Salon Assistant, you will play an important part in supporting the stylists and ensuring the salon runs smoothly. You’ll help create a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for both clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities
Greeting clients and making them feel welcome
Assisting stylists with day-to-day salon tasks
Shampooing, conditioning, and preparing clients for services
Keeping the salon clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
Preparing workstations and cleaning tools and equipment
supporting reception when needed [Managing bookings and appointments using computerised systems , Answering phone calls and assisting with client enquiries, Processing payments ]
Assisting and supporting the salon’s social media (content, posts, client interaction)
Helping promote salon services and products
Skills & Qualities Required
Friendly, professional, and well-presented
Strong customer service and communication skills
Willingness to learn
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident basic computer skills for appointment booking
Interest in social media (Instagram/Facebook)
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude and strong team ethic

Part-time stylist: To work a minimum of 24 hours a week over three days. Which would include a Saturday and one evening.
Full-time stylist: To work 35 - 39 hours a week, over four or five days, which would include a Saturday and one / two evenings.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cutting, colouring, balayage and freehand techniques. They will enjoy being part of a busy, friendly team that is driven and hardworking, loves hair and enjoys being creative and making clients feel great.
Not Essential But Would Be Good To Know:
Experience with Wella Colour, Hair up skills, Davines home care ranges. Have knowledge of social media.

As our Salon Host, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the front of house while delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll help create a relaxed, professional atmosphere that keeps clients coming back.
Key Responsibilities
· Greeting clients in a friendly and professional manner
· Managing bookings, appointments, and the salon diary using computerised systems
· Answering phone calls, emails, and online enquiries
· Offering refreshments and ensuring clients feel comfortable
· Processing payments, handling cash/card transactions
· Supporting stylists with general salon duties (e.g., tidying, restocking products)
· Assisting with and supporting the salon’s social media (posting content, responding to messages, promoting offers)
· Promoting salon services, products, and special offers
Skills & Qualities Required
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Friendly, approachable, and well-presented
· Strong organisational and multitasking ability
· Confident computer skills, particularly for booking systems and appointments
· Interest in or experience with social media (Instagram/Facebook)
· Ability to stay calm and professional in a busy environment
· A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
· Passion for the hair and beauty industry (preferred but not essential)
